All about Helsinki – 100 Years of Urban Facts
How has the Helsinki cityscape changed? And how have housing, work, free time, schooling etc. changed for the Helsinkians over the past hundred years?
The 100th anniversary exhibition of the department by the name of City of Helsinki Urban Facts will show how the capital and the life of its citizens have changed. The changes will be illustrated by a comparison between decades, for example with the use of statistics, research and archive material from the City of Helsinki Urban Facts.
The current activities of the City of Helsinki Urban Facts will also be presented at the exhibition. Furthermore, the districts of Helsinki will be compared by means of old postcards and statistical material. The story of how the statistics office and the city archives became the City of Helsinki Urban Facts will be told at the exhibition as well.
