Kunsthalle Helsinki opens on December 3rd with a new exhibition YOUNG ARTISTS 2011 that represents a current review of the works of 56 young artists. The exhibition also offers an opportunity to purchase the art on display. A great chance to begin your own art collection!

Young Artists 2011 is an exhibition that covers artists and works that are considered to be interesting at this particular moment in time. The recurrent themes ecology and the concern over the state of nature take form among others in the richness of animal motifs in the exhibition. Other topics like cloning and recycling have been put to use for example in video art by reusing old footage.

The Young Artists exhibition is a solid tradition in the Kunsthalle and dates back to over 70 years ago. All artists featured in the exhibition are under the age of 35 and the works created under the past three years. The display of 2011 presents a diverse collection of paintings, media art, photography, sculpture, installations, drawings and one performance.
