Finnish family business of coffee Paulig awards again the best Helsinkian coffee!
Finnish Paulig wants to encourage professional coffee makers and therefore awards again the best coffee with its annual coffee competition. The goal is to emphasize the importance of everyday work for good quality concerning coffee.
Café Lasipalatsi as the only Helsinkian café has been selected as one of the three finalists concerning the Gruppo price which is given to the espresso and cappuccino of best quality.
The motive is obvious: café Lasipalatsi is described as a café that holds an international café atmosphere. The café, located in the heart of the city, offers a city view to the busy Mannerheimintie. The Glass Palace, de-signed in the 30’s, which functions as the café premises is one of Helsinki’s main attractions itself thanks to its functionalistic architectural style.
Café Lasipalatsi has its own baker who makes oven fresh pastries, pies and cakes on a daily basis, according to the season. During lunch time there is a buffet where one can have home-made food, vegetarian treats, soups and salads. The breakfast package, available on working days, include even “special coffees” (espressos and cappuccinos). During the weekends café Lasipalatsi offers plentiful brunches. All products can be taken away, even the lunch meals.
