Ask about architecture at the World Design Capital Pavilion!
During the summer season the Museum of Finnish Architecture organizes a great number of events for everyone interested in architecture! Museum’s information point at the Design Capital Pavilion provides its services during the first two weeks in July from Tuesday to Friday. You can ask any questions related to architecture, in Helsinki or the Metropolitan Region.
Are you interested in the story of a particular building? Are you looking for an interesting route for taking a walk? Do you have questions about the history of architecture in Helsinki? The free and open-to-all information point and the library staff of the Museum of Finnish Architecture provides you with the information you need!
The pavilion café serves as the information point Tue-Fri July 3rd-6th and July 10th-13th between 2pm and 5pm. If the service proves popular, it may be extended beyond the two week period, for the entire month of July.
Tomorrow Wednesday July 4th The Museum of Finnish Architecture hosts a Film Night (6pm-8pm), presenting two films about architecture: Paikan päällä (“Physically Present”). Conversations with Architect Juhani Pallasmaa. Part I Sammatti and Le Cabanon par Le Corbusier from the Five Master Houses of the World –series.
Please note that Paikan päällä is in Finnish and Le Cabanon par Le Corbusier in Finnish with English subtitles. Free entry.
