In August Helsinki offers an ineffaceable experience when Dinner in the Sky Finland organizes champagne tastings, lunches and dinners at a height of 40 meters on the Railway Square! In practice this means that the unique Dinner in the Sky table that fits 22 persons will be lifted with a crane to upper air where local and internationally known top chefs will prepare refreshments for them.

The sky restaurant’s safety is of best quality – the diners are seated firmly on seats with belts and the safety of the staff is secured with harnesses. Besides the 22 diners there is also a security team of five persons answering for the safety measurements at the lifting and descent. The unique Dinner in the Sky table meets the German DIN4122 standards and is tested on an annual basis by Inspecta Sertifiointi Oy.

The top chefs that change on a daily basis include among others the Swedish two-star-restaurant Frantzén/Lindeberg’s Björn Frantzén and Daniel Lindeberg, Finnish Chef&Sommelier’s Sasu Laukkonen, Demo’s Tommi Tuominen and Postres’ Samuli Wirgentius.

During the dinners, in the evening session, the chef of the day will personally join the guests at the height of 40 meters to serve and talk about his food and menu. One can enjoy the fantastic view and stomach-churning experience during 40-minute-long lunches, 1-hour-long dinners or shorter, 20-minute-long champagne tastings. Dinner in the Sky’s champagne partner is G.H. Mumm. The prices vary from 49€-169€/person.
