Unique art-rock experience in Huvila
Everyone knows her name. But who knows what she does? Yoko Ono has been described as the world’s most famous unknown artist. Sonic Youth singer and guitarist, and long-time Yoko Ono fan, Thurston Moore has always been partial to experimental soundscapes. At Huvila, Moore’s instantly recognisable guitar loops meet Yoko’s eccentric vocal performance, creating an unprecedented aural adventure.

Huvila’s double nights of fabulous female performers continue
Irina’s new album Askeleita, out this February, heralded her return to the stage and her listeners’ hearts. The new songs were crafted slowly and with great care – her previous release dates back four years. Tuhlari, the latest album of last year’s most prolific hit-maker Laura Närhi went gold in just a few days. Her songs blend gutsy and infectious energy with a high emotional charge in the best Finnish Schlager tradition.

Contemporary circus star James Thiérrée
Contemporary circus star James Thiérrée’s voluminous stream of consciousness is channeled into a disarmingly surrealistic performance. Raoul, the main protagonist, is a a shipwrecked adventurer who seeks and finds himself in countless ways. This dreamlike, silent performance is bursting with brilliant visual gags and tricks. On stage, Thiérrée is an acrobat, comedian, poet and magician rolled into one.
