The largest arts festival in Finland and all of the Nordic countries, the Helsinki Festival brings big international names from all fields of art to Helsinki in August and September. This year’s programme includes concerts by i.a. world-renowned Japanese-American conductor Kent Nagano, one of the world’s most brilliant virtuosos Viktoria Mullova and the Venezuelan dynamo Gustavo Dudamel.

In late summer, Finland’s largest arts festival will be treating audiences to an exciting line up of world premiers and mega productions as well as the chance to see a number of artists on their debut visit to Finland. This year’s programme includes i.a. a unique art-rock experience by Yoko Ono and Thurston Moore, an intimate piano evening with the most prominent figure of minimalism Philip Glass and a surrealistic performance by the contemporary circus star James Thiérrée.
